Stack London is a Principal Contracting and Construction Management company specialising in the design and delivery of residential and mixed use development projects.
Stack London is jointly owned by Michael McCammond and Alex Miller. Mike and Alex first started working together in 2008 on a large estate regeneration project in LB Lambeth where over 800 new homes were created. Michael was managing the SPV development company for Pinnacle Regeneration Group and Alex was head of pre-construction delivery for the principal contractor, Higgins, who were employed to deliver the entire project. After working together on this project for over 5 years we decided to set-up Stack London in 2013 to deliver residential projects for Customers who were known to us. Alex and Michael are both Engineers and chartered Builders and they love the challenge of delivering projects. Our first project was the delivery of 4 high quality houses in Lambeth on a care home infill site in London. During our first year we were also successful in getting on the Hyde Construction Management Framework and won 2 large CM projects for Catalyst Housing Group. This gave Stack the foundation it needed to grow the business and since 2013 we have completed 20 projects ranging from a £2million warehouse conversion in London to a £28million 178-unit Construction Management project in Bedfordshire. We are Framework Contractors and Construction Managers currently working in partnership with local authorities, housing associations and private developer Customers. We have an open and collaborative approach to delivering projects that comes from our experience of working both Client and Contractor side. We understand what our customers require.
We have a strong commitment to deliver a personal service. We focus on partnership and collaboration, underpinned by a desire to solve problems. The team has a variety of experience ranging from running development businesses to senior positions in national contracting businesses. The team is supported by project and site managers, commercial mangers, design co-ordinators, estimating and buying department and office support. Our construction teams are experts in their fields and knowledgeable in all building industry sectors. They are supported by a pool of tradesmen including carpenters, plumbers, bricklayers, decorators and crane drivers. We work closely with our specialist supply chain partners to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with the project specifications and to the highest quality.
Our experience in the property sector includes new build private residential, social housing and complex refurbishment projects in London and the South East of England. Our personalised service and active problem solving has resulted in numerous long term clients.
We have experience in all elements of construction delivery. We have integrated management systems that enables us to deliver greater efficiency, control and visibility of our projects on time and within budget. We appreciate that the lowest price is not always the best price with value being key.
We ensure that all subcontract orders accurately represent the works required and are placed with trusted contractors, ensuring resources are available to complete the works to the required programme. In addition we have a pool of experienced tradesmen which enables us to undertake packages of work with our own labour, offering flexible solutions to our clients.
