Calais Street was a residential development consisting of the new construction of 4 houses on an infill site being undertaken by a private developer. Stack acted as the Principal Contractor and the project was completed in April 2015. The four properties are of a high specification in a historic conservation area. Calais Street was constructed using a mini pile and single ground floor suspended slab. The upper parts were traditional load bearing masonry. Large structural steels were installed at ground floor to open up the plan of the kitchen. The large ground floor kitchens are enhanced with a fabulous glass box which floods the room with light from the rear and above. Upstairs, the four large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are fitted out with high quality sanitary ware and marble tiling for a luxury finish.
